Construction Projects

Habitat has been building and reconstructing homes in Montgomery County for more than 20 years. Primarily, we focus on improving existing housing stock in the communities of Norristown and Pottstown by acquiring old, blighted or dilapidated row homes, gutting them and rebuilding them to create energy-efficient, attractive, safe homes for families in need. We have reconstructed 38 homes this way.

In the past several years, we have branched out to new construction projects, completing our first townhome community, Carriage Stone, on Green and Jacoby Streets in Norristown in 2009. Right now, we are currently building seven new homes in the North Hills area of Upper Dublin. These homes are typically three bedrooms and one bath, and are about 1100 square feet of living space. Nine homes have been new construction.
