Supporting our Volunteers:

By Cara Przybylowicz, Volunteer and Community Relations Manager

Do you want to help Habitat Montco out, but are unable to volunteer? Not a problem! There are other ways for you to help our organization and support our volunteers.

Here are the TOP 5 ways you can help Habitat accommodate our volunteers:

1. Buying and donating protective gear for the volunteers such as gloves, safety glasses, and ear plugs so that they are able to work to the best of their abilities on the site at all times in the safest conditions possible.

2. Donating breakfast bars/snacks to keep our volunteers full and alert throughout the day, starting with the most important meal of the day!

3. Making or purchasing lunches for our volunteer groups such as sandwiches, platters, and casseroles. You can contact cara@habitatmontco.org to discuss dates to donate lunches for our groups.

4. Cases of water bottles – these are used on site every single day, and run out quickly – we ALWAYS need water and want to ensure that our volunteers stay hydrated while working with us on site and in the ReStore

5. Sponsoring a group of volunteers for a project on the build site with Habitat Montco! These sponsorships occur at different levels, so make sure to contact Liz Hefner at ehefner@habitatmontco.org to learn more about how you can help!
