Our mission is to build simple, decent
houses in partnership with people from all walks of life, regardless of
race, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, national or ethnic
origin or physical disability. Habitat homeowners pay for their
homes with a no-profit, no-interest mortgage (the average cost of
monthly principal, taxes, and insurance starts around $600). The mortgage
payments go into a revolving construction fund used to pay for the
building of future Habitat houses. All interested applicants are first required to attend an orientation where they will receive more information and learn about the details of the Habitat Homeownership Program application process. |
